Ascension Campus Update: Temporary Power Outage

Due to a power outage in Ascension Parish, our hospital and clinics on the Ascension campus are currently operating on generator power. The Emergency Department remains open and fully staffed, and our care teams are ready to serve patients as usual. Mammogram services are currently unavailable. If cancellations are required, our team will contact you to reschedule.

Our Breast Cancer Program has earned reaccreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) for the sixth time! That also means we're the only hospital in the state with all three key cancer program accreditations from the American College of Surgeons. Great job to our comprehensive cancer care team for bringing the best to our patients every day!

Ascension Campus Update: Temporary Power Outage and Road Closure

Due to a power outage in Ascension Parish, our hospital and clinics on the Ascension campus are currently operating on generator power. All services remain open and fully staffed, and our care teams are ready to serve patients as usual.

However, please note that Highway 73 is closed from the interstate to Airline Highway and is expected to remain closed for approximately four hours which may impact your ability to reach the campus. If you have an appointment today and are unable to get to the campus, please call 763-4500 and we will work with you to reschedule.

Mammogram services at Ascension are closed for the day, and appointments have been canceled. If you had a mammogram scheduled, our team will contact you to reschedule.

We are to announce the first participants of the new Future Physicians Pathway Program that kicked off this month! This 8-week program gives pre-med students a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to become a doctor all while gaining real-world exposure working in the hospital, shadowing providers, taking part in professional development sessions and joining our residency teams for lectures and case studies.
