East Baton Rouge EMS is proud to recognize our 2025 Stars of Life, Dillon Misenheimer, Louann Leblanc and Braxton Impson, who traveled to Washington, D.C. last week to represent our agency and our community at the American Ambulance Association’s Stars of Life program. Director Chris Landry and Deputy Director Michael Weileman were honored to host this outstanding group throughout the visit.

While in D.C., our Stars met with Senator Bill Cassidy and later with Representative Julia Letlow’s staff to discuss key EMS issues, including current federal legislation that impacts field operations, workforce stability and patient care.

They also participated in roundtable discussions with EMS providers across the country, contributing their frontline insights to national conversations on today’s most important challenges in emergency medical services.

The visit concluded with the Stars of Life Awards Banquet, where Dillon, Louann and Braxton were formally recognized for their exceptional service and their commitment to the residents of East Baton Rouge Parish.

We are proud of their accomplishments and grateful for the opportunity to showcase their leadership while advocating for the future of EMS.
