My Story

Dr. Arthur Hess is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. He currently sees patients at the Bone and Joint Clinic of Baton Rouge.

Dr. Hess’s path to orthopedic medicine began after obtaining his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bioloy and Mathematics from the University of Dallas in 2004. Following graduation, Dr. Hess was accepted into the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he excelled academically.

Dr. Hess completed his residency training at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program in 2014. During his time there, he served as the Chief Orthopedic Surgery Resident at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and earned the Executive Committee Award for the highest cumulative score on the Orthopedics In-Training Exam (OITE).

He specializes in pelvic and acetabular (hip socket) surgeries, hip and knee arthritis, joint replacement, hip preservation, and complex reconstruction of knee, pelvic and acetabular fractures.
