This year Krewe Mystique de la Capital will be parading through downtown Baton Rouge on Saturday, February 7th. In 2018, we started a tradition of honoring nominated veterans with a special float for them to ride in during our parade. We have had veterans stretching back to WWII. We are reaching out to the corporate community to give you an opportunity to help sponsor this float. Everything is provided for the veterans from food to throws. Please consider helping us provide this opportunity for our veterans.
As a corporate sponsor, you company will receive the following.

I want to pass some very sad news to you about two of our long time members and past kings. Jay McGee and Tim Porch passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025. Please keep their families in your prayers.

Jay McGee was an active member and Lieutenant for Krewe Mystique. He served on the Krewe Mystique Board of Directors as our Web/Technology Director. He was honored to serve as King Mystique XLIII in 2019 and Ball Captain in 2017. Jay's funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Tim Porch was a longtime member of the Krewe Mystique. He was a lieutenant for the krewe for many years. His proudest moment came in 2020 when he was honored as King XLIV of Krewe Mystique de la Capitale along side granddaughter, Madison, who served as Queen. Tim and his wife Sheila had moved to Lake Charles but still attended Krewe Mystique events when possible. Tim's funeral will be Friday, June 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff, LA.

Stephen Edward Conyers was born in Blytheville, Arkansas. He has been an Ascension Parish resident for 36 years. Stephen is a 1996 graduate of St. Amant High School then attended Associated Builders and Contractors School for HVAC. He is happily married to his wife, Ashley of 25 years. His proudest accomplishment is being a father to his children, Cole (21) and Peyton (20). Stephen is the owner of SEC Heating and Cooling which is located in Prairieville, La. He currently employs 4 technicians and 4 apprentices. He is an active member of Business Network of Ascension and Moxey. He is a proud Partner in Education member to Prairieville and Central Middle Schools. He not only sponsors multiple sports school teams at Prairieville and Dutchtown High Schools. This year he also sponsored Prairieville High Schools Swim and Robotics teams.

Introducing our 2025 Queen, Grace Granger. She is in her senior year at Louisiana State University where she is studying Kinesiology. Upon graduation Grace plans to continue her education by earning her doctorate of Pharmacology with a dual Masters of Business Administration. She is an active member of LSU’s Delta Gamma sorority. She enjoys participating in Delta Gamma’s philanthropy “Service for Sight” where she aids the visually impaired. Additionally, she volunteers at Miracle League by cheering on the players. She is a member of the LSU Pickle Ball team as well as the LSU Chess Club.
