Meet the Staff Monday!

Today we would like to welcome Madison (Maddie) who is a new therapy tech. She started with us about 3 weeks ago, and we are happy to have her join the team. Maddie is from Baton Rouge. She is currently a junior at University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) and majoring in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science pre-professional studies. After graduating with her bachelors degree, she plans to attend Physician Assistant (PA) school. She would like to focus in orthopedic rehabilitation once she becomes a PA. In her free time, she enjoys writing poetry, painting, and spending time with family and friends.

Fun Fact: She has written over 200 poems and hopes to one day publish her own poetry book.

The more narrow your base of support is the harder it will be to keep the center of gravity in the middle and maintain your balance. It is important to have good balance with a narrow and wide base of support. If your balance is good with a narrow base of support, it will automatically make your balance better with a normal base of support.

Meet the Staff Monday!

Today we would like to introduce a new tech Peyton! He joined the Fyzical team about 2 weeks ago. He is originally from Lockport, Louisiana. Peyton is a senior at LSU majoring in Kinesiology Pre-PT and plans to further his education to receive his doctorate in Physical Therapy. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching football, drum, and workout.

Fun Fact: He plays the snare drum on the LSU drumline.

Fun Fact Friday!

Your center of gravity is around your belly button. There is an imaginary line that passes through the center called the line of gravity. To maintain your balance it is important to keep your center of gravity within your base of support which is your feet. The wider your feet=the easier it is to keep your center in the middle and maintain your balance!
