Dr. Richard Appleton is a Dental Prosthodontist. A prosthodontist is a dentist specialist that has 3 extra years of extensive training in restoring missing teeth and correcting complicated teeth issues. We have an in-house dental lab technician to ensure the highest quality and aesthetics of our crowns, veneers, bridges, dentures and implant prosthesis such as implant crowns, bridges and full upper and lower implant arches, known as an All-on-4. Dr.Richard S. Appleton, DDS, MS, earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans after his undergraduate studies at LSU in Baton Rouge. Following his graduation from the LSU Dental School, he completed his postdoctoral residency program in Prosthodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In addition to earning his Certificate of Specialization he also earned a Master of Science degree in Prosthodontics. His training involved the study of dental implants. Dr. Appleton has three extra years of extensive training in the full scope of the Prosthodontic specialty, including reconstruction of the decimated dentition resulting from trauma, birth defect, severe wear, etc.; replacing single teeth, multiple teeth, or all of the teeth with dental implant prostheses; complete dentures, partial dentures, crowns, fixed bridges; dental ceramics, and dental laboratory technology. Dr. Appleton is an active member of the American College of Prosthodontics, the International College of Prosthodontics, the Academy of Osseointegration (the science of dental implants), the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, and the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association. He is licensed to practice in Louisiana.

***ALL NON-ESSENTIAL, ROUTINE DENTAL PROCEDURES PROHIBITED BEGINNING MARCH 18, 2020, FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS***

The Louisiana Department of Health has directed that all routine, non-essential dental procedures be prohibited beginning March 18, 2020, until at least April 16, 2020.

Please call our office if you have an emergency. Our office hours will be 9am - 3pm for phone questions, billing, and emergencies. Please no walk-ins.Please leave a message if we are closed or call Dr. Appleton's cell phone and he will decide if you have an emergency and can be seen in the office.
