For our October , we’d like you to meet Dorlis!

She was chosen because of her love for life. She loves people and spreads her joy wherever she goes. Residents are drawn to her charisma, and she has made a definite impact on everyone’s life here.

One thing she loves about living at Barclay House is the new friends she has made and participating in all the activities she can fit into her day.

If she could give one piece of advice, it would be to “Look to the positive and never concentrate on the negative. Laughter, she says, is the best medicine.”

Fun fact: She loves to dance and sing and cuts a rug at any chance she gets. She also makes beautiful quilts.

Dorlis has brought so much life to Barclay House, and we are so lucky to have her!

For our October , we would like to recognize Dijaz! He has been with Barclay House for 4 years and has become a vital part of our community.

Dijaz is our Sous Chef here at Barclay House. He is an extremely hard worker and always goes above and beyond for our residents. His responsibilities include assisting the head chef and overseeing day-to-day operations in the kitchen. He prepares food with love and attention to detail. His personable nature shines through in everything he does.

His favorite part about working at Barclay House is talking with residents and staff.

Fun Fact: He loves baseball!
