That's right! Kylee Burgess officially joined ABC's team of speech-language pathologists in July 2025 and we are so excited to have her! She earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2023, and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Speech-Language Pathology from Louisiana State University in 2025.

While a student at UL, Kylee served as a peer mentor through the UL LIFE Program, where she supported young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in developing social, academic, and occupational skills. Kylee’s interest in speech-language pathology began through her work with the UL LIFE Program and is driven by her passion for advocating for individuals with disabilities. She holds special interests in expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation disorders, social skills, reading, and hearing loss.

To kick off the new school year, ABC's team came together for a special retreat filled with laughter, good food, and a splash of creativity 🎨🍴. We enjoyed lunch together and had so much fun exploring our artistic sides with a painting activity.

Our team is the heart of everything we do. Their dedication, collaboration, and passion for helping children grow and thrive inspire us daily. Taking time to connect and recharge together reminds us just how important each member is to our mission. 💙

We had great fun at ABC's Readers and Authors "Make Your Mark" Camp. Participants explored the lives of innovators and others who made their mark on the world. They imagined how they might make their own mark on the world and authored their own biographies. They experienced the lives of innovators and inventors through STEM-based activities, marveling at the wonders of turning everyday objects into creative, imaginative, and reactive projects.

At ABC, our focus is on helping every child succeed in making their mark in the world!

We just had to share the good news! Congratulations to our special friend, TY, a kindergarten student who received the "SPIRIT" award at his school this morning! His smile says it all, as he celebrates with his Aunt, his teacher, Mrs. David, and his very proud Dad! ABC has to agree, TY is very deserving of this award, as he demonstrates a positive, compassionate, and caring spirit with all of his people! We feel so appreciative of the opportunity to be a part of his team!
