Medicaid offers treatment options to help children with autism thrive. Over 5,300 children received Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy through Louisiana Medicaid in 2025. ABA therapy can help children improve social and emotional skills.

LDH has confirmed one case of measles in a pediatric resident of Region 1. The patient was exposed to measles during international travel.
The individual who tested positive is in isolation and is receiving treatment at a Region 1 hospital.
