The Pilates Studio Pilates classes! Egoscue Method We offer a variety of ways to experience the Pilates method. We offer private, semi-private, and small group classes.

The Pilates Studio is dedicated to promoting health and well-being in a positive, non-intimidating environment providing individualized and small group Pilates instruction through the teachings of Joseph Pilates, the latest science of human movement, and continuing education, combining safety with lots of fun and laughter. We use various props such as the ball, foam roller, magic circle, spine corrector, and more. This keeps the workouts fun and challenging. With so many variations you’ll never get bored. We are now offering Barre Classes!

The Pilates Studio turns 25 today! So grateful to everyone who helped make this happen and that's many people. It takes a village to run a small business. It's been an honor and pleasure to serve all the wonderful clients we had over the years.

This quote is important from a number of angles.

Carbs are so important in the body that it will break down it's own muscle to get it.

So if you're diabetic or eat low carb, keto or carnivore, all will have implications on how your body utilises protein.

This is why we say to eat at least 2 carbs to 1 protein, as this enables all of the protein to be used for repair and muscle building.

This is another reason why balancing your meals is so important.

You can do this with a little practice! Ask my clients.

It is interesting. When we come out of the womb, we know the proper way to lift. Bend our knees, squat down, and keep our backs straight. When do things start going wrong? School. When we must sit for 7 or 8 hours. The sitting posture shapes our standing posture. The slumped, bent forward sitting posture becomes our slumped, bent forward standing posture.

What I love most about this dietary approach, is there are no REAL rules. Its ALL about what works for you.

Of course, there are suggestions, education, and recommendations--Yet the bottom line is when you learn how to monitor your health, you learn to create an eating style that is functional for you.

Instead of just focusing on your weight, like most diets, you learn to focus on your body temperature and pulse, your digestion, your sleep, your hormone function (libido and period), your skin and hair, your energy and mood.

Essentially, eating to support your metabolism teaches you how to heal (food logging, taking temp and pulse, monitoring subjective markers), vs just giving you a diet. Long term, it's a more sustainable and educational approach to healing.
