At Resting Place Funeral Home, we’ve walked beside families who lost a loved one while in custody— and we’ve seen firsthand how devastating it is when they’re left in the dark.
No family should have to grieve while wondering what happened or why they weren’t notified sooner.
At the very least, notifying next of kin immediately should be the standard.
It’s about transparency, respect, and basic human dignity.
