October’s Spirit Week at Fortis College is just around the corner! From October 28th to October 31st, we’re encouraging everyone to get involved, have fun, and show off their school pride. Below is the lineup for each day of the week:

Monday (10/28): Rep Your Program Day

Wear your program's designated color:

• Medical Assistant: Manilla/Beige/Nude

• Medical Billing and Coding: Blue

• Pharmacy Tech: Orange

• HVAC: Yellow

• Radiologic Tech: Green

• MLT: Red

• Surgical Tech: Purple

Tuesday (10/29): Chill Out Day

-Chill in your (school-appropriate) loungewear and comfy shoes for a day of relaxation.

Wednesday (10/30): Pink Out Day

-Show your support for breast cancer awareness by wearing any shade of pink.

Thursday (10/31): Costume Day & Lab-a-Treat

-Feel free to wear your best costume that follows the Fortis Dress Code. In addition, we’re hosting "Lab-a-Treat"—decorate your labs throughout the week, and on Thursday, students can visit and grab a treat. Since there are fewer labs in the evening, we’ll also be hosting Scary Movie Night!

For employees not associated with a particular program, you are encouraged to participate in days you see fit.

Join us in the Common Area this week as we honor those who are currently battling, have survived, or have been affected by breast cancer with a special Pink Balloon Release. Let’s come together to show our love and support for these courageous individuals.

We invite all students and staff to show their support by wearing pink every Thursday throughout October. Let’s stand together in solidarity with those who are currently battling, have survived, or have been affected by breast cancer.

By wearing pink, we raise awareness and show our commitment to fighting this disease. Your small action can make a big difference! 💕

Friday evening's commencement ceremony was a memorable occasion, where Baton Rouge Mayor Sharon Weston Broome delivered a rousing address to more than 150 Fortis College graduates, garnering gratitude from the campus president, faculty, staff, and graduating class. Fortis College (Baton Rouge)

Classes at the Baton Rouge campus will be canceled for the remainder of the week. Classes will resume on Monday. We will make up Wednesday's class on Monday and Thursday's class on Tuesday. The new term will start on Wednesday September 18th.
