Welcome, Welcome to one of our largest incoming groups of FNP students yet 🤗! This past Friday was mandatory orientation on campus for our senior students (Class of 2026) but also for our new students. These include students enrolled in our 2-year option and joining the Class of 2027, as well as those enrolled in our 3-year option to get the Class of 2028 off to a great start! Yes, three awesome cohorts are off and running, tackling their goals, advancing their skills, and preparing to provide primary care to their communities.
We are so proud of these nurses! We are inspired by their desire to keep working hard in spite of their individual challenges! We are motivated to help them achieve their dreams! We are FranU 💙💛!!

Congratulations to the FNP Class of 2025 🎉!! Nine walked across the stage today earning MSN degrees, and two completed post-Master’s certificates. We are so proud of each and every one of them and cannot wait to see the remarkable care that they are sure to give the communities they serve 💙🥼 🩺

Another beautiful White Coat Ceremony is in the books, as another FNP cohort has marked the transition from the preclinical setting to clinical rotations beginning in the spring. Meet Cristy! She will celebrate 25 years since her first degree at FranU by earning another one 🙌! Yep, you read that right! A small part of Cristy’s story is below, but a culminating part occurs this December when she crosses the stage with her MSN-FNP degree 💙. We are FranU proud of Cristy!

Meet Cristy Gremillion, a proud two-time graduate of FranU. Cristy began her nursing journey at FranU by completing the LPN to ASN track in 2000, and then she returned to earn her BSN in 2015. Now, she’s preparing to graduate with her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from FranU in December of 2025. Cristy’s commitment to lifelong learning and compassionate care exemplifies the values of FranU. Her journey reflects the strength of our alumni community and the transformative power of education rooted in service and excellence.

She is proud to be part of the FranU alumni family and looks forward to staying actively engaged with the community.

Meet Trey, one of our senior FNP students, who has established himself as a bit of a fixture at FranU! Trey is currently in his 19th semester at FranU and will graduate in December from the MSN-FNP program. We are proud of you, Trey!!

Your story is our story 💙

Meet Trey Parker, a devoted FranU alumnus whose journey is marked by academic excellence, a heart for service, and a deep commitment to faith. He began his academic path at FranU, receiving a BSN in 2022, and will soon complete his Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner in December 2025. After graduation, Trey plans to work in internal medicine at Our Lady of the Lake and pursue a PhD in Nursing Research through The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

Trey’s connection to FranU runs deep, both professionally and personally. During his time on campus, he met his wife Catherine, who is a fellow FranU alumna that graduated from FranU’s Theology Program. Trey’s story is a testament to the transformative power of education, mentorship, and faith within the FranU community.

As he prepares to finish his 19th semester at FranU, Trey looks forward to staying engaged as an alumnus and continuing to support the university’s mission. His journey is a shining example of the values that define our alumni community.
