Can y’all believe I’ve been a doula for FIVE years??? 🥰🥳💜
I attended the first birth in a year and a half the other day! Woah! 🤯 It’s crazy that it’s been so long, yet I still have the same posture of not taking for granted the intimacy that I get to share with my clients, the long-term relationships we build, and the support I’m able to wholeheartedly give to families! It’s always a bonus that I get to literally witness the beginning of life after birth, as I absolutely love babies!
In this case, I welcomed nephew number three and was my client’s (sister’s) doula for a third time. What an honor! She was such a pro, so honestly I didn’t do much work at all this time around. Cheers to the shortest labor and delivery I’ve ever been a part of and the birth of not only a new baby, but a new business for my sister () and as soon Veri the Doula Birth Services will be rebranded to The Doula Sisters where we’ll both continue supporting families in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas!
Finally, I just want to say thank you to each of you for your support of “Veri the Doula”! I’m not quite certified yet, as my sabbatical caused me to be a bit delayed and have to attend a few of more births (cheers to 1/3) to complete finish it by May 2023. But I’m working to complete what God led me to start certifying for in 2019. I’ve always worn many hats in life, so I’m grateful to have such amazing support when I’m wearing my doula hat. I know this will probably be one of my last posts before the rebrand comes soon (happy tears 😭🥲), but I truly want each of you to know that I don’t take for granted how you’ve supported and walked with me (and now us) on this journey (sabbatical and all)! So, THANK YOU!!! 💜
More exciting news coming soon, but for now we are happily welcoming new clients with due dates through December 2022!!!
