đź’šLoneliness and aging can often be difficult but also realizing that your friend is not your friend is also complicated. Sometimes if one stop calling and texting the friendship would end. Therefore, cultivating friendships and connections at all ages is vitality important not only for our mental and emotional health but also our physical health. Even joining a group, volunteering, or becoming an advocate can all help reduce loneliness and increase life satisfaction.

For journal reflection…how social are you? Are you the friend that calls and checks in? Are you the planner? Are you the distant friend? Are you the one avoids friendships and don’t respond to calls/texts? What can you do to be more sociable this month to decrease loneliness? 💚
