Introduction:
This CPL & Home Defense Fundamentals course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of ownership, safety, explanation, and function, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will have more confidence to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Who we are:
We are a husband and wife team. Matthew is a certified instructor with USCCA. He served 10+ years in the Marines. He has over 15+ years of instructional experience. Alexi is a Certified Range Safety Officer with USCCA. We work together to give you a comfortable, safe, personal, and professional experience.
What the course does in Michigan:
This course meets the requirements to apply for the CPL in Michigan.

o Fundamentals
o Gear and Gadgets
o The Legal Use of Force
o Encounters and the Aftermath
o Basic and Advanced Skills

Day of Training:
The day starts at 9:00AM and goes on to 5:00PM.
What to expect:
We try to provide as much as possible to make the day of training a success. Coffee, tea, water, and snacks are provided and available the whole day. Lunch is provided as well. We will have as much information about the CPL process ready for you when you arrive. We also provide pens, paper and a folder to keep all your paperwork together.
In addition to formal training and handling practice, we will complete a safety brief before conducting live requirements. Michigan requires that a student perform 30 cycles. We provide targets and range cost is already built into the cost of this course.
