We are grateful to share a special milestone for our Christian Counseling Center.

What was once a dental office has now been beautifully transformed into additional counseling spaces — rooms that will soon hold stories of healing, restoration, growth, and hope.

We are deeply thankful for the team at Momentum Properties, Building, Design. Especially Nate Kiefer and Jackson Kitchen, for their excellence and care in bringing this vision to life. Their work has helped create a warm, welcoming environment where individuals, couples, and families can feel safe and supported.

We believe the Lord has entrusted this space to us for His purposes. We have prayed over every office and every future session, asking God to use this ministry to bring healing to hearts, strengthen families, and impact our city for His glory.

Thank you to our incredible team who continues to serve with compassion, professionalism, and faith. We are expectant for all that God will do in this next season.

“Apart from Me you can do nothing.” John 15:5

In the midst of hard things
uncertainty, grief, exhaustion, and the weight of the world around us—we are reminded how deeply we need Christ.

More than yesterday. More than words can say.

Scripture calls us to remain in Him, to lean not on our own understanding, and to carry one another’s burdens (John 15:4–5; Proverbs 3:5–6; Galatians 6:2). Faith was never meant to be lived in isolation.

As we abide in Christ and surround ourselves with wise, loving support, we make space for healing, strength, and hope to take root—even in difficult seasons.

Lord, teach us to lean on You and walk together with grace.

I Need You More by Kim Walker Smith with lyrics. This video is good to use for both personal and group worship! God Bless!

Fear of abandonment can quietly shape our relationships.

Sometimes it causes us to pull away before someone has the chance to leave us.
This can show up in many areas of life…

In our relationship with God:
If you carry an abandonment wound, trusting God can feel difficult. When prayers go unanswered or life doesn’t unfold the way we hoped, it’s easy to believe the lie that God doesn’t care—or that He will leave too. So we protect ourselves by distancing.

In marriage or dating:
We may constantly scan the relationship for signs of rejection.
Looking for reasons they might not really love us.
Bracing ourselves for abandonment that hasn’t even happened.

Let’s pause for a moment and gently ask:
Is this me?

Is there an abandonment wound the Lord wants to heal?

A powerful place to start is asking God to reveal the false core belief we’ve been living from:
I’m unlovable. I’m not enough. I’m too much. I’ll always be left.

Healing begins when we allow those lies to be replaced with God’s truth—
who He says you are, and how deeply loved you truly are.

You don’t have to walk that journey alone.

But Healing is possible.

Winter reminds us that some seasons feel quiet, heavy, and slow.

But Scripture tells us:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” (Psalm 34:18)

If winter blues, anxiety, or discouragement have been weighing on you, support is available. Healing often begins with being seen, heard, and supported.

As this year comes to a close, we want to pause and say thank you.

To every donor, prayer partner, client, volunteer, and supporter — you made this year possible. Because of your generosity, lives were met with hope, healing, and compassionate, Christ-centered care.

If you are considering a year-end gift, please note that all donations must be received by midnight on December 31 to be credited for the 2025 tax year.

“Let us not grow weary in doing good…” — Galatians 6:9

“A weary world rejoices.”
—Isaiah 9:6

This is the season God chose to step into—

chaos.
mess.
imperfection.

“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.”
(Isaiah 9:2)

Not into peace and celebration,
but into a stable.
Into fear.
Into exhaustion.

Scared, first-time parents.
A world heavy with sin and sorrow.
A world that “had no room for Him.”
(Luke 2:7)

Yet God came anyway.

The King of Kings born not in comfort,
but in humility.
Not surrounded by certainty,
but by need.

And shepherds came—
weary from the journey,
bringing nothing but what they had,
and praising the Savior just born.

“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you;
He is the Messiah, the Lord.”
(Luke 2:11)

To the world, it looked ordinary.
Unremarkable.

Yet He was the greatest gift—
the One who would change history,
and hearts,
forever.

“The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.”
(John 1:5)

That is worth rejoicing over—
even if it is the only thing
you can rejoice over this year.

And it will always be enough.

Our latest blog on saying Yes in the Season of Advent

As we move through Advent and prepare our hearts for Christmas, I keep returning to Mary’s story. She was asked to say yes when everything in her life told her to say no. As Christmas draws near, the lights get brighter—but for many, the season can feel heavier.

If you’re carrying grief, anxiety, relationship strain, exhaustion, or the weight of unmet expectations, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to walk through it alone.

At The Christian Counseling Center of Battle Creek, we believe God meets us not only in joy, but also in the places where our hearts feel weary and worn. This season, it’s okay to slow down, ask for help, and make space for healing.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted.” — Psalm 34:18

If you or someone you love could use support during this season, we are here to walk with you—gently, faithfully, and with hope.

We’re celebrating a huge milestone! Please help us share what the Lord Is d**g!!

After Giving Tuesday, we are officially over $20,000 raised toward the renovation of our upstairs suite! This additional space will allow us to bring on more counselors, reduce wait times, and serve clients more consistently. With the growing need for counseling in our community — and some centers only able to see clients once a month — our goal is to make Christ-centered counseling available, accessible, and timely for anyone who needs it.

To everyone who has donated so far — thank you so much. Your generosity is making a real and lasting impact.

If you feel led to give, you can do so here:
