Honored to join our community at the Step Out of the Darkness event alongside Scott, our incredible Su***de Prevention Facilitator who makes this gathering possible each year. 💙💜

From the powerful panel discussions to the walk and the luminaries, it was a meaningful reminder of the importance of hope, connection, and remembering those we’ve lost.

Grateful to be part of such an inspiring evening. ✨

Such a meaningful day with our Summit Pointe team at this year’s Recovery Walk. 💙

This year’s theme was beautifully captured by Ashley, one of our incredible staff:

“‘One journey, many paths’ was the quote for this year's Recovery Walk. The Recovery Walk is so important to me because it brings together so many people who all had different routes or paths in their journey, but are connected together by life experiences and the purpose of recovery.”

I’m so proud to walk alongside our staff, partners, and community members as we celebrate recovery, honor resilience, and support one another.

At Summit Pointe, we see students as neighbors, community members, and future leaders. When students have the safety, support, and resources they need, they can reach their highest potential—the heart of our mission!

That’s why our partnership with Kellogg Community College is so meaningful. As both President of KCC and a Summit Pointe Board member, Dr. Paul Watson shares how a strong partnership between education and behavioral health create a campus where they thrive.

I’m proud to introduce you to one of the incredible leaders helping guide Summit Pointe’s mission — Joseph du Lac, Chief Operating Officer at Bronson Battle Creek and a valued member of our volunteer Board of Directors.

In this episode of the Summit Pointe Podcast, Joseph shares how our collaboration with Bronson Battle Creek strengthens overall wellness in Calhoun County. Together, we’re building processes that allow us to care for people both before they arrive at the hospital and after they’re discharged — treating patients as one team and bringing that valuable feedback back to our organizations so we can keep improving, together.

Shoutout to Aaron, our Sequential Intercept Model Facilitator, for the incredible work he’s doing through his officer wellness program at KCC! 👏

As a retired police officer, Aaron brings real-life experience to the classroom—helping first responders recognize signs of burnout, PTSD, and stress, and giving them the tools to take care of their mental and emotional health.

We are so lucky to have Aaron on our team, doing this important work.

A great read on the power of community mental health and first responder partnerships—including a spotlight on the impactful work happening right here in Calhoun County.

Proud of the collaboration between Summit Pointe and our local law enforcement through Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training and ongoing support. This kind of partnership is exactly what helps people in crisis get the right care at the right time.

Grateful to be part of a community that prioritizes safety, compassion, and access.

Across Michigan, community mental health (CMH) agencies are redefining crisis response through deep partnerships with EMS, law enforcement, and fire departments. These cross-sector collaborations have become a vital part of Michigan’s evolving approa
