Are you feeling overwhelmed with all the holiday stress? Make sure to take a few minutes every day for yourself. Whether it would be meditation, a time of prayer, or simply a moment to enjoy time to yourself, give yourself that time. Don't succumb to the stress this time of year may bring.

For myself, as I was taught in church, I find a quiet place, bow my head, fold my hands, and take time to talk to God. For Christians like myself, this is the time to remember the birth of Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas!

HUMIDIFIERS!!! With the weather being below freezing, the water in the air is frozen. This lack of humidity is not the best for your respiratory system. No one likes that dry scratchy feeling in your nose and throat. With the negative effects of the cold weather, it's best to stay warm and bring some humidity back to your household. If not for yourself, do it for your friends or coworkers who are concerned for your health. Just as the staff of Battle Creek Family Care and I are. Clean your old humidifiers with vinegar before use this season!

Hey everyone,
With it being that time of year, I feel inclined to remind everyone to check their furnace air filter. With December comes the concern of your household air quality. It is cold outside so houses are all closed up and we spend more time inside to stay warm. My concern goes out to my patients, and the new ones to come, in spreading awareness I hope to prevent the deterioration of the health of Battle Creek as a community.

You answered and we listened! During November and December, Battle Creek Family Care will offer a trial walk-in clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00–10:00 AM.

No appointment needed — just call us first to verify availability.
