Day 18 of our 42 Days of Holiday Cheer!! Today is the Third Sunday of Advent and the beginning of Hanukkah. We lit the 3rd Pink Candle symbolizing “JOY”. We also hung our 14th Snowflake on our calendar this afternoon. Tonight started Hanukkah, the eight-day winter “festival of lights”. We start with the first candle to the right on our Menorah and continue each evening.

Day 17 of our 42 Days of Holiday Cheer!!! We gathered together for a fun festive Easter Egg Game. This is where we watch our Holiday Music Videos and hunt for hidden Eggs. We wish Taylor Swift a Big Happy Birthday!!! We also hung our 13th Snowflake on our calendar.

Day 16 of our 42 Days of Holiday Cheer were all about Gingerbread!!! With Special Guest Aaron Link!!!

Day 16 of our 42 Days of Holiday Cheer!!! It’s National Gingerbread Day and we decorated our hearts out!!! Residents felt their childlike wonder this afternoon. We hung our 12th Snowflake this afternoon also!!!

🎄 Day 15 of our 42 Days of Holiday Cheer and our Yule Lad was up to all kinds of Mischievous things. Today we hung our 11th Snowflake on our Calendar and then learned all about the 13 Yule Lads. Yule Lad Kjotkrokur AKA “Meat Hook” was up to Mischief all around our Community today!! He likes to appear and steal smoked meat, especially smoked Lamb using his signature long hook to sn**ch it!!
On each of the 13 nights before Christmas children place their shoes on a windowsill, if they have been good they will receive candy if they have been naughty they will receive a Rotten Potato!!!🥔 A few of our Residents received that ROTTEN POTATO!!! Such a fun tradition to see who gets it!!!

Tonight our Assisted Living Residents enjoyed a Christmas Light Drive with Lorie and Kelli!!! It might have been a chilly evening but we were cozy on our warm Bus!!! Happy Holidays!!!

Day 14 of our 42 Days of Holiday Cheer!!! Today residents came together to decorate wreaths to Honor the upcoming “Wreaths Across America Day” held on Saturday December13th. We will be partnering with our local VFW to donate our wreaths as our December Acts of Kindness!!! We also hung our 10th Snowflake on our calendar this morning!!!

Day 13 of our 42 Days of Holiday Cheer!! Hot Chocolate and Hallmark Movies today!!! We cozied up and played the Hallmark Drinking Game today!!! Mary hung our 9th Snowflake for us today!!!
