I want to take a moment to gently clear up some common misunderstandings about binge eating disorder—because shame thrives in silence, and healing starts with truth.

✨ Myth: Binge eating is about willpower
💛 Fact: Binge eating disorder is a real, diagnosable mental health condition. It’s not a character flaw or a lack of discipline.

✨ Myth: Only people in larger bodies struggle with binge eating
💛 Fact: Binge eating affects people of all body sizes. You cannot tell someone’s relationship with food by looking at them.

✨ Myth: The solution is more control or stricter dieting
💛 Fact: Restriction often makes bingeing worse. Healing comes from nourishment, safety, and rebuilding trust with food.

✨ Myth: Binge eating is about indulgence
💛 Fact: Most binges are driven by emotional distress, deprivation, or feeling out of control—not pleasure.

✨ Myth: Bingeing means you failed
💛 Fact: Bingeing is a coping response. It makes sense in context, and it can be unlearned with support and compassion.

✨ This is what REAL, sustainable change looks like. ✨

These two photos are both me — just different chapters of my life.

The photo on the top reflects a time when I was stuck in patterns that didn’t serve my health, my confidence, or my future. The photo on the bottom is a happy, healthier, stronger version of me — after losing 135 pounds and, more importantly, changing my life from the inside out.

I didn’t lose this weight with extremes, quick fixes, or punishment.
I lost it through cognitive behavioral techniques, physical fitness, and realistic lifestyle changes that I could actually maintain.

I learned how to:
• Change my thoughts around food and my body
• Build awareness instead of guilt
• Move my body in ways that felt empowering, not punishing
• Create routines that fit my real life
• Stop starting over — and start committing

Because these changes were obtainable and sustainable, I didn’t just lose the weight…
👉 I’ve maintained it for 2 years.

And I continue to maintain it because this isn’t a phase — it’s a commitment.
A commitment to my health.
A commitment to my mindset.
A commitment to showing up for myself, even on hard days.

If you’re looking at these pictures and wondering if change is possible for you, let me say this clearly:

💛 You don’t have to be perfect.
