Mark Hugh Adams, a cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, at the age of 72. He shared a profound and loving bond with his spouse, Lisa Adams, whose companionship and support were his greatest treasures. He created a legacy of love and devotion that will live on through his son, Troy Adams, and his wife Jessica. Mark was a proud grandfather to his eight grandchildren (Nathan, William, Conner, Kianna, Kyle, Devin, Bradley, and Tyler) and his two great-grandchildren (Hoyt and Magnolia). Mark’s life was also graced with the companionship of his loyal dogs, Sadie and Bandit, who were his constant shadows and brought him immeasurable comfort and happiness. Norman Lee Gifford, affectionately known as Norm to his friends and family, was a man whose laughter and joy echoed through the halls of life until his peaceful departure on July 19, 2025. Born on a spring day in 1935 in Saginaw, Norm decided after a grand journey of 90 years that it was time to cast his final line into the great beyond from the very place he started, his beloved hometown of Saginaw.

He was the loving husband of Barbara J. Gifford, with whom he shared a vibrant life filled with love and laughter for 40 years. Norm's legacy is carried on by his stepchildren Donnie, Scott (and wife Crystal), Wendy (alongside Rob Drager) Miles, and his daughter Ellen (and wife Deanna) Giffant. Nancy “Nan” Jeanne (Peters) Gaskell, 76, of Greenbush, Michigan, passed away peacefully and somewhat unexpectedly on June 22, 2025, in Bay City, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family.

Nan was born on September 22, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, to Geraldine “Geri” (Glenday) Peters and Norman “Pete” Peters. She grew up in Detroit and graduated from Patronage of St. Joseph. Nan spent many years in Oscoda raising her family, eventually settling in Greenbush, where she lived out her later years. Nan began her professional life at Dearborn Federal Credit Union and eventually retired from Northland Area Federal Credit Union (formerly Wurtsmith). After retiring, she continued giving of herself as a caregiver to many families in her community — work that was close to her heart until her health no longer allowed.

Robert Leon Gillette (73), of Bay City, Michigan, formerly of Midland, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025, surrounded by his family. Robert was born on January 31, 1952, in Midland, Michigan, to the late Arthur Gillette, "Cookie" Geneva (Florey) McMillen and step-father Robert McMillen.

Bob enjoyed reading about military history, fishing and following all Michigan Sports teams. One of Bob’s favorite things to do was take a spur-of-the-moment road trip, and you could always guarantee that he would be the first person to jump in the pool each season. Bob graduated from Midland High School in 1970 and retired from S.C. Johnson in 2013 after more than 40 years of service.

John Sherman Loveland, 90, of Mio Michigan, passed away early Saturday morning, July 26, 2025. He was born on November 2, 1934, in Ann Arbor, son of the late John and Hazel (Sherman) Loveland.

John retired from Preston Trucking Company and spent much of his retirement connected to the natural beauty of Northern Michigan.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Pine Haven Assisted Living. Rollin was born on March 4, 1934 in Midland to the late Vern and Ruth (Kapanka) Graves. Rollin met his wife, Gay Cross while they were both working for the Midland and Frolic Theaters. They were married on May 28, 1955; she survives him. Rollin retired in June 1993 after 41 years of working as a meat cutter for A&P Groceries in East Tawas and Midland, Michigan. As a hobby, Rollin enjoyed designing and building furniture, growing a beautiful garden, and spending time in the kitchen baking.

Linda Lee (Roberts) Law went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 23, 2025, at the age of 79, in the comfort of her home in Vassar, MI surrounded by her loving husband and children. She was born February 23, 1946, in Elkton, Michigan to the late Charles and Evelyn Roberts. Linda and Garold were married on April 21, 1962, and celebrated 63 years of marriage being each other’s best friends.

She enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, boating, camping, embroidering, crocheting and spending time with her family. She attended the First Baptist Church of Vassar. Delores “Dee” Dice, age 75, of Midland, Michigan, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away July 18,2025 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was a hardworking, faith-filled woman whose unwavering dedication and love left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Born March 8,1950 to the late Harold and Viola Westendorf, Dee dedicated her life to God and her family. She worked as a nanny, nurse's aide, and anesthesia technician before retiring from MidMichigan Regional Medical Center in Midland. Her dedication was recognized when she earned the Employee of the Month award in October 2011.

A deeply faithful Christian, Dee trusted that the Lord would provide, and he did. She was the matriarch of her family, loving and proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often bragging about them to anyone who would listen.

Diann Joy Reil, age 66, passed away on the morning of July 16, 2025, at her home in Vassar, Michigan. By her side, her loving partner of 20 years, Al German and her sister Darlene. She was born on April 5, 1959, in Caro, Michigan, to the late Donald “Jake” and Linda (Miller) Brown. Diann was a 1977 graduate of Vassar High School. She was a long-time employee of Vassar Golf and Country Club. In more recent years, she worked for her very dear friend, Karen Warner at “Cheeks” Vassar Liquor Bar. Michael Lynn Frost, a cherished family man, respected union steward, and lover of classic rock and cinema, passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 74 in Bay City, Michigan. Born on September 25, 1950, in Gallup, New Mexico, Michael's journey through life was marked by deep affection for his loved ones, a commitment to his work, and a passion for the arts. Raised by his parents, Wanda and Jack O'Dell, Michael developed a strong sense of family and community early on. Helen Therese Lentner (née Boyce) passed away on July 13, 2025, in Frankenmuth, Michigan, at the age of 78.

Born on April 28, 1947, in Saginaw, Michigan, Helen spent her life rooted in the state she called home. Over the years, she cultivated a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and beauty through her love of antiques, gardening, and woodworking. These passions reflected her creativity and hands-on spirit.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Lentner. She is lovingly remembered by her children: daughter Robin Gacek, sons Todd Gacek and Thomas (Rachel) Lentner, grandson Henry Lentner and long term partner Gary Solmonson.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
