Shirley R. Nickleberry, age 70, of Bay City, Michigan, peacefully entered eternal rest on October 29, 2025. She was born on February 7, 1955, the beloved daughter of the late Lorene and Raphael Grimmett.

She was educated in the Carrollton Public Schools and went on to build a fulfilling career as a compassionate Home Health Aide, where she touched many lives with her caring heart and gentle spirit. Shirley lived her life with style, grace, and joy. She loved shopping, working out, and always made sure she was “looking good.” Her creativity shone brightly through her love of decorating her home — always transforming it beautifully with each new season or holiday. She was also a faithful member of Gethsamene Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Benjamin Smith, where she found strength and joy in worship and fellowship.

Frank Eugene Raslich, a cherished father, grandfather, friend, and patriot, passed away at the age of 91 on October 27, 2025, in Flint, Michigan. Born on September 2, 1934, in Beecher, Michigan, Frank's life was a testament to the enduring spirit of love, wisdom, and humor.

Frank dedicated two decades of his life to serving his country as a proud United States Navy Veteran. His unwavering commitment to service continued into his civilian life, where he worked as a Skilled Trades Worker at General Motors until his retirement.

Frank had a contagious zest for life. His love for the thrill of the casino, the challenge of a good crossword puzzle, and the simple joy of scratching off lottery tickets brought excitement to his days. He could often be found in the deer stand or with a fishing pole in his hand. Yet, nothing compared to the time he spent surrounded by his loving family and friends.

John, age 61, passed away October 17, 2025 at Saint Mary’s Hospital. He was born September 30, 1964 in Traverse City Michigan to Earl Colmus Sr. and Susan Leppert.

He enjoyed restoring old cars, shooting pool, riding his Harley, taking everyone for boat rides, spending time camping, and having bonfires with family and good friends.

Surviving are his children, Amanda (Matt) Colmus, John (Alyssa) Colmus, Blake Hoggard, and Mackenzie (Jason) Hedrich; grandchildren, Tayler Smith, Colin Smith, and Oceana Grigg; brothers, Earl (Denise) Colmus and Eric (Xan) Colmus; uncles, Eugene Colmus and Robert Colmus; special friends, Carrie (Jason) Witt and Ziggy (Lisa); and 2 football fields of friends. Born on October 4, 1960, in Beeville, Texas, to the late Gary Woodrow Franklin and Judith Lee Franklin, Gary spent most of his life in Sterling, Michigan. From an early age, he was drawn to the beauty of the great outdoors, a place where he found both peace and joy. Whether it was a quiet morning on the water fishing, an autumn day spent hunting in the woods, or an evening of friendly competition at the local bowling alley, Gary found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and in the company of those he cared for. Daniel John Rome, known affectionately as Dan to his friends and family, was a man whose presence was as reassuring as the dawn. Born on May 15, 1971, in the welcoming community of Saginaw, Michigan, Dan's journey on this earth came full circle as he peacefully passed away in the same beloved town on October 19, 2025. His departure, due to complications from pneumonia and septic shock, marked the end of an era of unwavering faith and boundless love.



Dan's life was a testament to the enduring power of spiritual conviction and familial devotion. David J. Franceschina, age 73, of Bay City passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from pancreatic cancer at his home surrounded by the love and support of his family. David was born on March 18, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan to Calisto and Adeline (Schwartz) Franceschina. David graduated from Bay City Central High School and later received his Associates from Eastern Michigan University in criminal justice.

David's passion in life has always been to help other people and because of this he chose a career as a police officer serving others for over 35 years. David served the majority of his career as a Sergeant at the Buena Vista Twp. Police Dept. He also worked at Hampton Police Dept., and the St. Charles Police Dept. Patricia Lynn Kubik, age 66, of Saginaw, passed away Thursday October 16, 2025 after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born March 8, 1959, the daughter of Yolanda (Castillo) Ortega and the late Oscar Ortega.

Patricia was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 37 years, Timothy Kubik. Mary Lou Fischer, age 85, passed away on October 7, 2025, in Bay City, Michigan, where she was born on November 25, 1939. Mary Lou was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Mary Lou grew up in Akron, Michigan, where she attended Akron High School, graduating in 1957. Her life was a rich tapestry woven with love and dedication, particularly evident in her 66 year marriage to her beloved husband, Dwayne Keith Fischer, who predeceased her. Together, they raised a family that was the center of her world.

She is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Mark (Karen) Fischer of Unionville, and Keith (Diane) Fischer of Unionville. Joyce Anne Bailey, born October 6, 1949, to the late Merlin and Rita Tippman, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, at Covenant Hospital, with her family by her side.

Joyce was a multi-talented artis who pursued many forms of expression. She was a graduate of Delta College and Eastern Michigan University, earning degrees in Fine Arts. She also shared her passion for art with family, friends, and her many students at the Bay City Public Schools, All Saints Central, and the Juvenile Home. Through her students, her love of art continues on, making life beautiful.

She is survived by a sister, Ruth (Tom) Lich; brothers, John (Marilyn), Robert (Colleen), Tom (Bonnie), Tim (Karen), and Paul (Diana) Tippman; many friends; nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Kenneth Bailey Sr. She was predeceased by her son, Kenneth Earl Bailey Jr.; her parents; a brother, Edward; a sister, Helen; and a special nephew, Kirk Tippman.
