🎉 Because of YOU – our community members, employees and local businesses -- our Emergency Department is sporting nearly $900,000 in renovations and upgrades!

Yesterday’s special ribbon-cutting event allowed us to show off the newly renovated waiting room, which features new flooring and furniture, calming artwork, enhanced security, and other amenities designed for a more soothing and calming atmosphere.

Our upgrades extend into patient treatment rooms, which now feature new digital Medi-Sign communication boards. These boards will enhance your experience by displaying real-time information, including:

• Care team information
• Tests ordered and their estimated completion time
• Status of your lab work
• Other important updates from your care team

With this access to information, we hope to lower stress, ease anxiety, and keep patients and their families informed. A smaller electronic board is also available outside each room to inform medical staff about your key information, ensuring you receive the best possible care.

🩺 🩸 💙 Due to the generous support of our McLaren Bay Medical Foundation donors, there was a FREE Heart Health & Stroke Screening for 67 community members earlier this week at our East Medical Mall in Essexville! Participants received a full lipid profile (including total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides), diabetes screening, blood pressure and pulse measurements, personalized results counseling with a healthcare professional, and a risk-reduction plan—all at NO COST to them! Thank you to the many nurses, doctors, residents and McLaren Bay Region employees who volunteered to serve our community during this event. 🎉 ⛳ Thank you to everyone who supported our annual Golf for Life Classic earlier this month! The golf outing was a huge success with 49 teams, fun contests throughout the course, and two lady pros who added a unique golf challenge for our participants. Over $94,000 net was raised to support McLaren Bay Region Hospital! 🙌 We are overwhelmed by the support of our amazing sponsors, golfers, and volunteers for their tremendous generosity—we couldn’t have done this without you. Save the date for our next golf outing on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at the Maple Leaf Golf Course in Linwood. We hope to see you there!

McLaren Prevention Services hosted a youth summit with 150 students from 6 different schools. Students learned about the dangers associated with substance misuse and customized prevention plans to bring back to their school. They had fun while they learned.

Yesterday, the McLaren Bay Medical Foundation partnered with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan to host a pop-up pantry drive-up food distribution. We are proud to bring this event to our community. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped plan, set up and distribute food. We provided food to 214 families (614 individuals) in need!
