🚧Truman Parkway Closure/Detour - Concrete Construction Project🚧

Due to complications with traffic control plans on the next Wilder Road section of the Wilder/Truman/Tiernan project, Harry S Truman Parkway will be closed and detoured between Marquette Avenue and Wilder Road, beginning Thursday morning (8/7). Traffic will be detoured onto Marquette Avenue to Wilder Road. This work is scheduled to take approximately 3 weeks. The closure is to perform full-depth concrete patching, concrete centerline patching, and minor curb repair.

ANOTHER Traffic ALERT ‼️

Motorists will need to find alternate routes as Marquette Avenue closes for railroad maintenance and additional infrastructure work starting this week.

The closure begins Thursday, July 17, at the railroad crossing northeast of State Street and will remain in effect through Friday, July 25, according to a traffic alert issued by Bay City officials.

🚧Please note the following dates for the Independence Bridge will be closed 🚧

Update (6/4/2025): Pyramid Paving will continue work on Harry S Truman Parkway and Water Street Bridge project that began last fall. With the concrete patching completed in May, the epoxy overlay portion of the project will take place beginning Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Truman will be closed for 5 days, reopening June 15, 2025, weather permitting. This closure will also render Independence Bridge inaccessible during this time.

🚧 Traffic Alert – Truman & Water Street Bridge 🚧

Pyramid Paving will resume work on the Harry S Truman Parkway and Water Street Bridge project that began last fall. With resurfacing completed on Truman, Water Street Bridge will undergo necessary concrete repairs and an epoxy overlay. The work is anticipated to require two temporary closures:

🔒 Closures (Approximate Dates):
• April 23 – May 13: Concrete patching and curing
• June 10 – June 13: Epoxy overlay

These dates reflect a conservative estimate. While closures may be shorter, they are longer than initially expected due to the extent of the repairs and required cure times. Please note that due to these closures, Independence Bridge will be inaccessible during these times. This timeline ensures that all work is completed by the July 4th weekend.
