Honoring Mary Eliza Mahoney this Black History Month. In 1879, she became the first African American to earn a professional nursing license. She broke racial barriers in the nursing field and was an advocate for equal opportunity!

This Black History Month, we honor Naomi B. Wright. A trailblazer in occupational therapy. As a graduate of Columbia University, she became a registered clinician and went on to make history by establishing the first occupational therapy curriculum at Howard University in 1974. Her legacy continues to inspire excellence in case management and occupational therapy.
