What’s in my mind?? Shock and disappointment

Small Business Owners: There are a lot changes effective February 21, 2025. The Small Business Association of Michigan has a lot of good information on this. Tomorrow at 8:30 they are doing a webinar. The changes are an increase to the Minimum Wage to approximately $12.50/hour. The elimination of Tip Wages. The first increase will be to approximately $6.00/hour,. Eventually tip wages will equal minimum wage. There is also a requirement that every business in Michigan will provide Paid Sick Leave. For employers with 1 to 9 employees, you must provide 40 hours of paid sick leave and 32 hours of unpaid sick leave. For employers with 10 or more employees, you must provide 72 hours of paid sick leave. This starts accruing on February 21, 2025. Employees may take 3 days sick time WITHOUT notifying you. So they can NO SHOW, NO CALL for 3 days. These changes will take place unless the Legislature can do something about it. Governor Whitmer is also trying to pass another Paid Family Leave where you can take 15 weeks off with pay. This program will be administered by the State. Employers will pay part of this and Employees will also pay into it and it looks like the State will pay the rest.

Young Living Clary Sage essential oil

D. Gary Young, who knew more about essential oils than any man on the planet, once told me personally (when I asked why so many of his distributors in his company had normal estradiol levels when they should not have had because they were not on any prescription medications) that clary sage contains slcareol and sclareol was incredibly phyoestrogenic. I’ve found him to be 100% correct on this.

The only other real proof to date I’ve ever seen is the hundreds of labs I’ve done on women who use clary sage products and have normal or therapeutic estradiol levels – and these are women who have no ovaries or are well past menopause.

I find this puzzling. Is sclareol converting to estradiol or is it the fact that it’s a bicyclic diterpene alcohol confusing the lab equipment? Not quite sure.

In my opinion the Clary Sage Essential Oil – especially the Sclareol portion is phytoestrogenic – and it readily converts to estradiol in the female body (not sure in men).

I advise patients who refuse oral or compounded estradiol creams to use 8 drops of clary sage per day topically, or orally (in veggie caps). Check estradiol serum levels after a few weeks to see if the level is above 60 pg/ml. If its not keep adding drops until it is.

So you know if it does not budge at all just stop using it as you’re one of the few don’t absorb it or it does not work in, or the oil you’re using is poor quality.

[Keep this in mind. I feel that internal use is rarely *needed* and should only be used with respect for how concentrated the oils are. I do not advocate regular internal use of essential oils without appropriate knowledge and understanding of how to administer, for what purpose, how much, which essential oils, safety concerns and so on. —Author]
