✨ Let’s Bust a Few Therapy Myths ✨
There are a lot of misconceptions about what therapy is — and what it isn’t.
Myth: Therapy is only for people who are falling apart.
Truth: Therapy is for growth, self-awareness, healing, and learning new patterns — not just crisis.
Myth: If I was stronger, I wouldn’t need therapy.
Truth: It takes strength and humility to ask for support.
Myth: Talking about it will just make it worse.
Truth: Avoiding it usually keeps it stuck. Processing it is what creates movement.
Myth: Therapy will “fix” me.
Truth: Therapy isn’t a quick fix — and you’re not broken. Real change requires honesty, consistency, and work outside of session. The growth happens in the in-between.
Therapy is a space for support, insight, and guidance — but you are the one doing the courageous work.
And that work? It’s worth it. 🤍
