I suffered from seasonal allergies when I was a child. It was torment. The Doctors said I was deficient in salve. Being held down by many, against my will, to receive some of this eye salve was not agreeable to me. That was my life. Medications were useless expect for the side effects. While I was in the Marines and I had no seasonal allergies. They disappeared and they mysteriously returned when I was in college. Breathing out of my nose was not an option as this same nose dripped its horror rash around my innocent nose. I was miserable from the second week of August to the first frost. It took Chiropractic to get my seasonal allergies under control. In fact I became a Chiropractor because of my seasonal allergies and I want to share this relief with you.

Seven Ways to F**k Up your Life.

By Dr. Joel Haase

Excuse my language. I have something to explain to you. I don’t think the word f**k is a cuss word anymore. It’s too meaningful and this word represents so many nouns, verbs, and adjectives. The word f**k has climbed from the cuss word category into a meaningful and respectful word inside my personal and humble opinion. If this word offends you, I apologize to you in advance.

A while ago, I wrote a blog on how to take care of yourselves. This new blog is based upon the most common ways I’ve seen in my professional career to f**k up your life. It’s something to think about.

1.) Ignore your inner voice. Some call it intuition. Some consider it instinct. You should consider it foolishness. This is a huge step in how to f**k up your life. If you work diligently at ignoring your inner voice for a period of time, at some point, your inner voice will fade away. This is really good, if you want to f**k up your life. Ignorance allows you to take responsibility for nothing.

2.) Assume that your knowledge is complete. Reject all forms of correction. Know, as well as you possibly can, that you have nothing to learn. When talking with someone, try really hard to only listen to the words that are offensive to you and ignore everything else. Deeply concentrate on the tone of the person challenging your immaculate knowledge. This way you can complain about the tone and you don’t have to understand anything else. What a great idea. This will make a great addition to the tool box you use to f**k up your life.

3.) Please everyone. This is a very important part of f**king up your life. Pretend that your obviously fake and cybernetic smile is invisible to everyone. Make the mental and emotional commitment it takes to satisfy those you believe care about you. Pretend that no one can see your stress and anxiety. Wait patiently for your praise and applause…keep waiting…wait a little bit longer. Wait until you’ve discovered that you’ve waited your entire life, to hear and say something so meaningless that it doesn’t exist anymore. Concentrate on this loss. Use this powerful tool to f**k up your life.

4.) Never do your best. It’s probably a great idea to eliminate the concept of “best” all together. Your best is a dangerous concept because it exposes your lack of passion, enthusiasm and commitment to anything. It gives you permission to not take any responsibility for anything. What a great idea to f**k up your life.

5.) Sedate yourself. I know what your thinking. Drugs and alcohol right? Yes, but mostly no. One can sedate themselves with anything, but my definition is different. If you want to really f**k up your life, turn the truth into a falsehood and adopt a falsehood into the truth and discover what happens after that. Put your seatbelt and helmet on. You will need it.

6.). Dedicate your life to an impossible standard. This is a wonderful way to f**k up your life. Search for perfection. Consider imperfection as weakness. Know it. Concentrate on this. Lie about this. Live this. Hopefully, no one can see your imperfections. This is an excellent way to f**k up your life.

7.) Dedicate your life to envy and jealousy. Envy and jealousy behave like venom in your soul and spirit. In order to f**k up your life properly, envy, jealousy and strife should play a major role. It is the root cause of murder, horror and death. Nothing f**ks up a life like these problem creating devices. That’s something to think about.

Here’s something else to think about. Never forget about you and your true heart. No one could ever replace you. No one is exactly like you. You have something unique inside you that makes everything beautiful. Never forget that you have something to offer the world and whatever that is, you hold it in your hand and no one has ever held it before you.

Some notes on Healing:

Healing is generically defined as, “the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again”. This is a great definition.

In psychology healing is defined as “the process of alleviating or attempting to alleviate mental or physical illness through the power of the mind, typically using such methods as visualization, suggestion, and the conscious manipulation of energy flow”.

In spirituality, healing is defined as the direct interaction between one individual (the healer) and a second (sick) individual with the intention of bringing about an improvement in illness.

The common denominator in all these definitions of healing is that something is wrong and it needs to be addressed. It’s a very simple concept and it makes the most sense when the definition is subtracted from those who complicate it with their own rules, regulations and the intellectual slavery to some idea or model. The experts inside the world of the pseudo-healers are clueless. I’m troubled by this. They say I’m a Chiropractor, whatever that means. I’m really an artist who organizes nervous systems. This is more accurate and comfortable description of me.

Healing is just a word. All languages, cultures and religions have this word inside their vocabulary. It’s a universal idea, but it’s also a commonly misunderstood and manipulated concept. Here are a couple things about healing I’ve learned in my 25+ years of trying to be a healer. Here are some things to think about:

1.) Healing is expensive. It’s not necessarily financially expensive. It’s morally, intellectually and emotionally expensive. It takes an unimaginable effort and commitment to heal. It takes more effort and commitment than what it took to make you sick in the first place.

2.) Healing is a living thing. Healing provides a certain and specific life energy that will do exactly what it’s told to. If healing disobeys you, there’s a specific reason for it. To understand this means that healing is somehow connected to the concept of life itself. What does it mean for you to be alive?

3.) Healing is a circuit. It’s either on or off. Healing is extremely exact. It obeys the rules of up and down, right and left and inside and out. It knows the difference between what is true and what you want truth to be. If your full of s**t, your ability to heal is severely compromised.

Here’s something else to think about. You are an individual person. There has never been one exactly like you. No one has lived your life but you. YOU are unique and YOU have your own value. No person could replace you. People will challenge YOU, and make things difficult, but understand this idea. Someone is fascinated by you, your traumas and your challenges. Someone gives a s**t about you. That person is me and I would have no other way.

I’ve been saying this for years. In fact, I’ve done this experiment in my waiting room years ago. This is true. I had my...

I’ve been saying this for years. In fact, I’ve done this experiment in my waiting room years ago. This is true. I had my own experiment going on for months.

Before I share with you the reality of this experiment, I want you to know something about me. My knowledge is incomplete. I don’t know everything. I’m not God, nor do I profess to be a god. I’m telling you what I’ve seen inside my own body and what I’ve experienced in those I’ve cared for and those inside my 25 years of completely independent professional experience as a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Food is supposed to give you life. It keeps you alive. If you don’t believe this, for whatever reason, stop eating food all together and see how it works out for you. Food also keeps everything else alive. This is why food rots and decomposes. The animals, bacteria, fungi and other things will feast on the life-giving food immediately. Look outside to discover this. I take pride in my peach orchard, but my fresh peaches rot in days. This was a huge problem before we learned to preserve food in times of emergency or lean times. It was important then, because it could save our lives in the winter and times of famine. Today, we have fast food.

Fast food is not food! It may fill your belly, but it cannot fulfill the job description of life-giving food. There is no life in it to give. It can only offer a full belly of nothing. Fast food has been synthesized down to only calories. This is really important to understand. This is why even bacteria, fungi and other organisms won’t eat fast food. There’s nothing to eat to keep them alive! How can a microorganism, without a brain or organized nervous system be smart enough to NOT eat fast food?

That’s the mystery and question you get to solve on your own. I’ve said enough. It’s time for you to think about this.

What happens to a McDonalds cheeseburger and fries when left out for a month?

This is something I wrote many years ago. I think it’s time to remind and review:

NINE STEPS TO CARING FOR YOURSELF:

1. If it feels wrong, don’t do it. Pay close attention to this feeling. Your body has a built in warning system that extends past your conscious mind. Listen to it. It could save your life and your heart.

2. Say exactly what you mean when communicating. Be very careful with your words. Words are all you have and each word has meaning. Lies can’t communicate. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

3. Do not please people. People pleasers generally have weak boundaries and they get walked on very easily. Instead, love people. A lover of people has set up strict boundaries of what is acceptable and what is not.

4. If you are doing your best, don’t speak badly about yourself. It only insults your best effort. No matter what you think, It will make things worse for you. Your best is all you have. Don’t insult your best.

5. Never give up on what you care about, what inspires you or what you’re passionate about. I guarantee that you have something to offer and it will be beautiful and will have something of value.

6. Always treat yourself and others with kindness. Kindness is one of the most powerful problem solving devices in existence. Kindness is is a side effect of loving people.

7. Let go of the concept of control. You were not given the spirit of control, you were given the spirit of faith, unconditional love, kindness, hope and gratitude. These are the only tools you need.

8. Stay away from the drama. Drama is useless and meaningless emotional energy, masquerading as importance. It’s poisonous and contagious. It’s a dis-ease.

9. LOVE with your whole heart and with your entire mind. Paint your heart with this and I promise you that you will not fail in caring for yourself and all those you love and care about.

I guarantee you will be better.
