The best sources of fiber are whole grains, veggies, fruit with the skin, nuts, seeds, beans & legumes. We love eggs because they are ethically sourced from small organic farms 🐓👏🏼

Here’s a or idea incorporating eggs:
• panfried eggs topped with salt & pepper, red pepper flakes, and microgreens 🌱
• sourdough toast topped with chipotle and avocado slices 🥑
• roasted or sautéed broccoli topped with a pinch of nutritional yeast 🥦

Eat the rainbow produce haul!🌈 this weeks haul was at and we made sure to get a variety of different colors and seasonal produce♥️ In addition to the veggies we picked up- we also had frozen fruit, apples, and bannas already on hand for breakfasts/snacks.

WHY eat the rainbow?!! Phyochemicals are the naturally occurring compounds in plants that are responsible for the color 🏳️‍🌈 Each photochemical provides different health benefits so we can maximize our nutrition by getting in a variety of colorful produce each day🥬🍑🍓🍌🫐

An important reminder (!!) that it is OKAY and perfectly normal if you feel like December was filled with mostly holiday & fun foods🍰🍝🍕🥂🍪 We see a lot of people feel the need to EAT CLEAN all January to “get back on track” or “start over”🙅🏼‍♀️ this mindset often leads to a cycle of “giving in” and overeating or binging, followed by guilt and shame, and then back to dieting and obsessing over foods😤

What to do instead?!👇🏼

Find that *BALANCE* of nutritious foods that make you feel good AND fun foods that you love!🥗🍔🍎🍟

Once you make peace with food, it’s much easier to find a balance between the two regardless of the month or time of year. We promise that this mindset will help you feel good everyday both mentally and physically.

Post holiday nutrition tip🤍 if you feel puffy or bloated after the holiday, focus on increasing POTASSIUM this week!🍃🥦🍊🍌 Chances are, you just ate a bit more sodium than you normally do which retains water. Potassium regulates sodium in the body and can help to restore fluid balance.

Examples of potassium rich foods➡️ oranges, sweet potatoes, potatoes, carrots, cantaloupe, spinach, kale, bok choy, avocado, broccoli, salmon, coconut water, squash, pomegranate, mushrooms

We work with clients on what they can ADD to their diet first. When you only focus on what foods to eliminate, you end up with a super restrictive diet that is unsustainable and lacking in nutrients and minerals.

‘Tis the season for our FAVORITE hot cocoa recipe☕️🍫😍🎄this homemade hot cocoa is rich, creamy, and perfect for the holidays! Enjoy it on its own, or pair with your favorite Christmas cookie🙊🥰

You’ll only need a few ingredients and the recipe is super simple! Whisk together the cashew milk and cacao, followed by the other ingredients and warm on the stovetop. Top with marshmallows and a cinnamon stick. Recipe serves one 1!
