I was at Carousel of Progress today, and the Cast Member in the theater told everyone to take a seat?
I don’t know why they said that. Wouldn’t they know the seats are bolted to the floor? How are we supposed to take one? 🤔

On this day, November 23rd, in 1993, the Carousel of Progress officially reopened as Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress!
Along with becoming Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress, for the first time since 1973, the original Carousel of Progress theme song “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” returned to the show!

Today, the show pays tribute in Walt Disney’s honor to the original Carousel of Progress from the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair!

And since the Carousel of Progress is celebrating an anniversary/birthday, we figured we’d share a little secret…
Over the past few months, Carousel of Progress has been receiving backend equipment upgrades/replacements!

One of the most notable ones is a different audio experience! Along with everything else, parts of the audio of the attraction have been remastered!
(Keyword being “parts of the attraction”. It sounds excellent in places where it hasn’t before but sounds not as great in areas where it has before. But, oh well, that’s progress for you!)

I’ve heard people say some interesting things while spieling at Carousel of Progress. But, I can say that until today, I’ve not heard anyone ask that everyone refrain from female mud wrestling throughout the show.

However, with that statement, does that mean that male mud wrestling on the Carousel of Progress is still permitted? Asking for a friend, obviously… 😬

(And to answer that last question: No, it’s not allowed. Everyone must remain fully seated throughout the entire show until those doors automagically reopen at the end of the show. 😞)

Grandma said she had recently heard a phonograph song that reminded her about taking her medicine.
It said something about “gaging, choking, and touching that little dangly dang that swang in the back of her throat.”

Hi, just reminding you that we’re all on this Carousel of Life together.

When it’s your time to stop riding the Carousel of Life, you’ll reach Unload, those doors will open automatically, and you’ll get to see what Walt has done with Progress City.
Until then, remain seated, sing along, and enjoy the ride.
