Friendly Reminder if you registered to attend our free community yoga class tomorrow with Karin Schaftlein !!!...

-This class 4/11/2026 , Saturday , at 10 AM will be located at and graciously hosted by The Pamlico Public Library!! This class is officially FULL -

Hope Clinic , The Pamlico Library, and yoga instructor Karin Schaftlein have all partnered to ensure Pamlico County will have access to 2 free community yoga classes monthly ! Yoga mats are provided for use if you do not have one !

We ensure this by collaborating and alternating hosting sites. Same classes , 2 different convenient locations.

The library will host yoga the 2nd Saturday of every month, Hope Clinic will continue to host the 3rd Saturday of every month unless otherwise indicated.

Sign up is required due to limited space - both hosting sites accommodate as many people as comfortably possible.

If you missed this weekend's yoga class look for sign ups for our next available classes, we will share that information for all sign ups for both host sites as they come on this page with sign up links😊

As we continue to share alarming impacts of alcohol in North Carolina this Alcohol Awareness Month, we also want to share empathy, hope, and recognition that the reach of substance use disorder is much wider than the person consuming it.

This one is for the family members and friends of a loved one struggling with alcoholism.

Because you deserve food , shelter , water and Hope on Easter and every other day , just as everyone else. Regardless of your recovery , financial, or insurance status.

Here is your friendly reminder to be kind to YOURSELF and others this holiday weekend.

It can feel like incredibly strange times to be sober during celebrations already - Our body and mind is still healing , for some it may not feel like a day to celebrate either.

Holidays can be triggering for those in recovery and in general for anyone. Holidays can be reminders or markers of the past , traumas, or loss.

They can be filled with personal relationship reminders , strains, and family gatherings that may be positive but overwhelming , OR may be a reminder to some of a support they do not currently have.

With this we are here to support and remind you of the following affirmations this weekend for coping purposes:

It is ok to not be okay.

It is a bad day -NOT a bad life.

Naming and feeling your emotions -even the negative ones - is HEALTHY and important to your healing and emotional processing journey.

IT IS OK TO FEEL how you do regardless of how people expect or think you should feel today or any day, including holidays , family gatherings , anniversaries and any other positive projected events.

This Easter regardless of belief , opinions , or circumstances , you are important. Your feelings matter. Your life matters. You deserve joy , but it is ok if you are not joyful today.
