Hospice of Pamlico County, Inc. Hospice Hospice of Pamlico County is the only hospice agency based in Pamlico County, NC.

Our nursing staff are all local residents available to our patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Hospice of Pamlico County is an independent, community-based, voluntary non-profit agency. We are licensed by the state of North Carolina and certified by Medicare to provide hospice care. Our hospice services are available free of charge to all terminally ill persons and their families residing in Pamlico County.

Hospice people are a special breed. We can comfort a family, chart like champions, and still find the missing remote that’s been “lost” in the blanket for three days.

Some days in hospice, we find ourselves celebrating the little victories—-like when the printer actually works on the first try, or when the coffee pot survives another morning.

But the real joy comes from smiles, the stories, and the moments of connection we share with our patient and families. Laughter truly is good medicine… and thankfully, it’s one we never run out of.
