For a place to visit during the holiday check out the Watchung Arts Center, Stirling Road, Watchung, NJ for an exhibit by Joan Rosen entitled "Photo Debut". It looks like an excellent display of photos to view.

A follow-up to our November 13th program, Assemblyman Chiaravalloti presented a power point program on the proposed aerial gondola. During and after the program the questions that were asked created a animated and informative meeting. The Assemblyman answered all the questions with knowledgeable answers. The conversation continued after the program while the visitors enjoyed the chocolate cake(in the shape of a turkey) and cookies. We believe the audience left happy and informed on the aerial gondola.

As the 2017 baseball season is wrapped up, I thought it would be interesting to see who played professional baseball from Bayonne. What I found is interesting because there were 12 men who played the sport. The well known man who played was Albert (Bert) Daly the former Mayor. He played the 1903 season for the Philadelphia Athletics at shortstop. His batting average was .190, no wonder he decided on another career.
The other infielders were George Knothe, Alex Monchak and John Puhl. Next time I will list the pitchers.
If anybody has any information they wish to share on these men-please pass it along.
