Croixdale’s August picnic was perfect in every way. Our culinary team outdid themselves with the tastiest menu. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed excellent music by Mary Franz - she even got a few of us dancing!

A huge thanks to all of our staff and volunteers who made the day possible!

Croixdale residents learned a lot about protecting themselves from fraud and scams directed toward seniors from the MN Department of Commerce. Boima Freeman taught us what to do and say as well as what not to say when we get questionable calls and texts. We are grateful for the help in protecting ourselves.

100 years is something to celebrate - and nobody did it better than Jean! Her contagious laugh and smile brought us all together for her special day. Happy Birthday, Jean! ❤️❤️❤️🎊🎂🎉🥳🎁😘

Croixdale residents didn’t let our remodel chaos stop them from celebrating our August birthdays a few weeks ago. We welcomed a new entertainer, Steve Clark, on saxophone and had a fabulous time!

Croixdale residents had the perfect day for boating on the St Croix River last Thursday. The sky, the water, the temps, the wildlife, the food…was all perfect! Croixdale is so blessed!

Mooo!!!!
Croixdale residents have had farming on their minds this summer. We shared threshing stories and memories in June, watched videos on robotic dairies in July, and visited at the high-tech Peterson Dairy farm in August. We can’t wait to share some of what we learned during this fun tour in an upcoming newsletter article.

Croixdale is blessed to have over 150 volunteers in our building across each year. We love to welcome new volunteers and welcome back old volunteers. A few weeks ago Roxie, the French Bulldog, came back to say hello and brought her friends Bob, Greg, and Ellie, who enjoyed visiting with our residents and even playing some music and singing at supper time.

Croixdale residents are blessed with regular access to pontoon outings. Volunteer pilots take us up and down the St Croix River, which is part of and protected by the National Park Service. In July, we saw about a dozen bald eagles, a handful of osprey, dozens of cormorants, and even a few blue heron and white egrets!

Afterwards, we always enjoy a grilled picnic lunch at the pier.
