Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old male of Baytown with gunshot wounds to his legs and immediately began applying a tourniquet. The male was transported by ambulance to local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. This case remains under investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available for release.

OFFICIAL Baytown Police press release: On Saturday, August 2, 2025, at approximately 9:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment in the 3100 block of Wisconsin Street. Upon arrival, officers encountered a 17-year-old male who surrendered without incident. Inside the apartment, officers located an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound. The male victim was transported by air to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The 17-year-old suspect was taken into custody, and a murder charge has been filed. Detectives and Crime Scene personnel responded and are actively investigating this case. Due to the suspect’s age, his booking photo will not be released.
