"I became a nurse so I could help people and make a difference. I started my career in public health, working with the under served in Middlesex County. My roles have included everything from Lead Case Management, Communicable Disease Investigation, and Childhood Immunization. After seven years, I moved on and dipped my toes into other fields in the nursing industry. The field I became most passionate about was mental health, by far! The fact that Crystal Lake primarily cares for individuals with mental health diagnoses makes me even more driven to be the best team member and care giver that I can be for our residents. I am impressed by our leadership team, and in my short time here I can tell they are here to change Crystal Lake for the better. I am honored to be apart of this team at Crystal Lake. "

Meet Jennifer, our Assistant Director of Nursing, here at Crystal Lake. Jen has worked at Crystal in different capacities for the past 10 years. From CNA all the way to RN, she is the true definition of hard working. She is a caring, compassionate individual who is respected by her peers, and truly loved by her residents. She dedicates herself to the making sure all individuals are cared for, happy and thriving. Our team at Crystal Lake is stronger with Jen being part of it. We cannot wait to see her continue to shine!

"My journey into healthcare began when I became a CNA at 18 years old. From the moment I started caring for others, I knew this field was where I belonged. Motivated to grow and make and bigger impact, I attended OCVTS and became an LPN. Most recently, I completed my RN degree at Ocean County College. It has been a true "worked my way up" experience, and I am proud of how far I've come- every step has deepened my passion for providing compassionate, hands-on care. What makes Crystal Lake so special is the opportunity to care for a population that is so often misunderstood and overlooked. Mental health is very important and under the new leadership, the facility is making positive changes and rebuilding trust. Being part of a team that is truly turning things around has made my work here even more meaningful. This career has shown me the true meaning of helping others and has constantly reminded me why perseverance and compassion matter. "
