Day 2 of National Nursing Home Week at Crystal Lake was a hit! 🎬🌸

Our “Spring into Cinema” celebration featured a showing of The Secret Garden along with plenty of movie snacks including popcorn, nachos, and soft pretzels. Residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon filled with great company, delicious treats, and a classic film! 🍿🥨✨

🌸✨ Our lobby is in full bloom at Crystal Lake! ✨🌸

In honor of this year’s Nursing Home Week theme, “Moments in Bloom,” our Activities Department has once again transformed our space into something truly beautiful and welcoming. Their creativity and hard work continue to make every celebration extra special for our residents, families, and staff.

As part of our “Moments in Bloom” celebration, Crystal Lake created a special Flower Wall filled with kindness, encouragement, and appreciation.

Staff are invited to write positive and motivational notes to one another or share heartfelt messages for our residents. It’s a beautiful reminder of the compassion, teamwork, and meaningful connections that bloom every day throughout our community.

🌸🌱 Nursing Home Week Day 1 at Crystal Lake was all about “Planting Memories” 🌱🌸

Our residents had a wonderful time decorating flower pots and planting beautiful flowers generously donated by Serenity Hospice. To make the day even sweeter, everyone enjoyed delicious “dirt cups” for a fun themed snack! 🌼🍫

On Friday, our residents celebrated Nurses Week with cookies and coffee alongside our incredible nursing team!

Residents also shared handmade cards and candy to thank our nurses for the compassion, dedication, and care they provide every day.

Spring is blooming at Crystal Lake! 🌿

Our residents have been busy bringing nature to life- making and hanging bird feeders, planting flower seeds for our outdoor planters, and enjoying time together outdoors. 🌺

We also checked in on our Arbor Day tree planted last year with support from Resident Council, and it’s thriving beautifully! 🌳

So much pride in watching our community grow and flourish together. 💚
