We’re thankful to report that everyone is safe following the early morning house fire. We were glad to be on scene standing by, along with Berkeley Township EMS, to help ensure the safety of our firefighters, police officers, and residents during this incident.
Our thoughts are with the family affected—we’re wishing them all the best as they move forward from this.
Incident Report
Bayville Volunteer Fire Company #1
On April 10, 2026, at approximately 0430 hours, Bayville Volunteer Fire Company #1 was dispatched to the area of Anchorage Blvd. for a reported structure fire.
Upon arrival, Captain 1720 confirmed a working fire, completed a scene size-up, and upgraded the working fire assignment.
Assistant Chief 1710 established Bayville Command.
Firefighters encountered heavy fire and smoke conditions from the structure.
Crews quickly stretched handlines and initiated an aggressive fire attack, while additional personnel conducted primary searches, checked for extension, and performed ventilation operations to remove heat and smoke.
Due to the quick actions and coordinated efforts of all responding personnel, the fire was brought under control. There were no reported injuries.

Rescue 1713, Engine 1741, Ladder 1725, Utility 1724, Utility 1707
Mutual aid departments assisted with overhaul operations and manpower on scene, while additional units provided coverage:
Station 18 Manitou Park, Station 20 Pinewald Pioneer, Station 38 Pine Beach, Station 60 Forked River, Station 61 Lanoka Harbor
Assisting agencies included:
Ocean County Fire Coordinators, Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office, Bayville First Aid Squad, Berkeley Township First Aid, Berkeley Township Police Department, Berkeley Township Fire Official’s Office
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
