We are beyond ecstatic to welcome the one and only Jordyn DuBois, DPM, to the fellowship July 2026. Jordyn was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, is a podiatric surgery resident at Denver Health completing a PMSR/RRA program, where she will serve as Chief Resident through June 2026. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine and holds a strong surgical interest in minimally invasive bunion correction, lateral ankle stabilization, diabetic limb preservation and rearfoot reconstruction. Jordyn remains actively involved in clinic research focusing on subungual melanoma management and surgical approaches to spastic equinovarus deformities, with presentations at ACFAS and the Colorado Podiatry State Conference. Jordyn is passionate about patient-centered care, surgical excellence, advancing evidence-based approaches within foot and ankle surgery, as well as, finding new ways to promote the field of podiatry and mentoring the next generation. Outside the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their one‑year‑old son. She also loves alpine skiing, running, yoga, and international travel. .dubois

Why do we care about leg length?
Even a small difference can change how you walk, how your joints are loaded, and over time can contribute to foot, knee, hip, or even back pain.

Not all leg length differences are the same.
Sometimes it’s a true difference in bone length, and other times muscle tightness, posture, or compensation makes one side function shorter or longer - which is why we always compare both sides.

We often measure leg length when patients have:
• Uneven shoe wear
• Ongoing pain on one side
• Changes in gait that don’t improve with standard care

Think bunion surgery always means metal implants and a long recovery?

Not anymore.

Our minimally invasive bunion procedure uses metal-free fixation to correct the deformity with:
Less tissue disruption
No hardware left behind
Faster return to walking

This is modern foot surgery — designed around patients.

Ohiofootdocs are back with composite shoe recommendations

🔵Wolverine: Lightweight + flexible composite toe with shock-absorbing midsoles. Designed to move with your foot, reduce fatigue, and handle long shifts on concrete without weighing you down.

🔵Ariat: Athletic-feeling work shoes that blend composite toe safety with sneaker-level cushioning. Great for people who want protection without the bulk of traditional boots.

🔵Red Wing: Premium durability with non-metallic safety toes and select styles that offer extra toe room. Built to last while supporting long days on your feet with stable, rugged construction.

🔵Orthofeet: The most podiatrist-friendly on the list — wide toe boxes, ergonomic arch support, cushioned insoles, and now composite safety-toe options. Ideal for anyone who needs comfort + protection.

🔵New Balance: Surprisingly supportive composite-toe options with cushioned midsoles and wide-size availability. Great for people who want athletic comfort in a safety shoe.
