🔥Today was the first installment of the rollout of the Stress & Trauma Training Center! We launched the Illuminations Biblical Counseling Workshop Series with our first class "Case Study: David - Diagnostic Impressions for PTSD."

Participants engaged in a discussion about the life of David and his experiences of losses, near death experiences and how they impacted him emotionally and spiritually. They searched the scriptures and reflected on David's words and behaviors, and then the role faith plays in the healing process. An engaging discussion it was!

The vision has been cast and I am off and running with it! The next workshop is coming.... "Doubting Thomas: A Case of Traumatic Grief!"

I'm so excited to launch the Illuminations Biblical Counseling Workshops with the initial class being "Case Study: David - Diagnostic Impressions for PTSD"!

🔸️Just how did David go from the confident kid who slayed Goliath to the young man hiding in the caves? To then the king who takes another man's wife? But he remained a man's after God's own heart! Could his heart be wounded?

📑 Let's dig into this Case Study! We will integrate Bible and Psychology to get a better understanding of trauma and how to care for self - mind, body, & soul!

BEGINNING IN 2025!

"Flourish! Trauma Recovery Skills Group" is an 8 week therapy group based on the curriculum of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT.)

📚CPT is an evidenced-based treatment modality that focuses on the cognition that keeps us stuck in trauma, helps us identify them, challenge them, and reprocess the trauma experience. This group is an introduction to the core concepts of CPT to help participants understand trauma and begin exercising coping skills.
