The King David Aquatic Center once again has a therapy trifecta with the addition of Kate Lentz! Kate is a Speech Therapist, and is joining the ranks of out Physical and Occupational Therapists. She brings a Masters of Speech-Language Pathology and six years of experience to the Aquatic Center table. That past experience includes both adult and geriatric populations, making her just perfect for the mix of people we see here. Kate focuses on maintaining and improving essential skills in communication, cognition, voice, and swallowing abilities.

After years of studying to earn her Occupational Therapy Doctorate at Ohio State University, and topping it off with a Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist certificate, (CSRS), Rachael has spent the past 4 years working with geriatric patients at King David Nursing and Rehabilitation. As luck would have it, she also loves to be in the water, and decided to join the team at the King David Aquatic and Therapy Center. She is now one of the very few occupational therapists IN THE STATE to offer both land and water based occupational therapy!

September will be here before you know it! On top of signaling cooler weather, it is also “Fall Prevention Month.” This is something near and dear to us at the King David Aquatic Center, as safety is always our top priority. To help do our part in preventing falls, we will be offering free fall, joint pain, back and neck pain, and gait screening on multiple days in September. We’re also going to have an entire Fall Prevention themed week at the end of the month.

When was the last time you were in to see us? If it wasn't in the past week, then you haven't seen our new pool deck, or new paint job in the main pool room! Come on in and check us out. We'll even let you use all the facility has to offer for free, for a day. You can even join in on one of the daily classes Amy and Lauren are offering!

I would like to recognize: NOAH and AMANDA

Noah and Amanda do excellent work as my Physical Therapists. They both are very skilled, focused, gentle, motivating, and soooooo kind! I attribute much of my still evolving progress to their guidance! Our sessions are always pleasant and I truly look forward to them!

I also value the support staff. I'm always greeted with smiles and positive comments. The atmosphere at King David is conductive to good feelings and healing!

I appreciate this opportunity to convey my thoughts and feelings about this very special place!
