Since its opening in 2004, our Center has been fortunate and grateful to have attracted an amazing array of healing professionals including many talented Yoga Instructors (we embrace many styles of yoga), nurturing Massage Therapist, Reiki practitioners, and an Aroma Therapist, as its staff members. It has become a healing buffet with lots of options for all. The Center for Health and Healing has

fostered a warm friendly community of practitioners/students of varied persuasions, ages, and levels of fitness. Out frequent ongoing referrals from physical therapy programs and from physicians underscore our growing outstanding reputation. Our instructors at the Center teach and practice yoga with the deepest gratitude for the tradition of yoga. All our staff members are committed to the highest professional standards. We feel blessed to be able to offer our strong diverse depth of knowledge to our students/clients. We are further committed to improving the health and wellness of all our clients. We gladly offer our experience and dedication to all our students in a inspiring, spaciously sunny, and uplifting environment. Good morning happy Sunday!
Tree pose is a classic standing yoga pose that helps improve your strength, balance and focus. It replicates the graceful, steady stance of a tree and helps you feel grounded and centered.
In Sanskrit, the ancient language of yoga it is known as Vrksasana (Vrak-sa-sana) or Vrkshasana (VRik-shah-SUN-aa). Vriksha (or vrksa) means tree, and asana means pose. This is a wonderful pose for balance, grounding and centering.

Good morning happy Sunday!
Coming back to the self: why we do savasana at the end of class.
Savasana (Co**se Pose) is a deeply relaxing, restorative yoga pose performed lying on the back to integrate the physical and mental benefits of practice. It reduces stress by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, lowers heart rate, and improves sleep. It is typically held for 5–10 minutes at the end of class.

Spring is in full bloom and so is the pollen! The seeds that were laying dormant under the ground during the long winer are now starting to emerge.

Good morning happy Sunday!
Spring is officially here! The seeds that were planted are now starting to sprout. Lets think back to the seeds we planed of our goals and intentions at the beginning of the year, how can we nurture them now? What can we change or reconnect to and with to help them grow?
This new season is one of growth and opportunity compared to winter's time of introspection and rest, it's time for us to think about ways for us to clear out our personal garden to make way for personal growth.

Good morning happy Sunday!
Listening to the body in yoga.
We have been taught in life that we must push and strive through life. Achieve, go, do, pursue.... are common catch words in western society. But in yoga, Ayurveda and the eastern traditions the best way to heal, ground and center is to slow down and listen. Our yoga practices are a perfect way for us to do this. Holding the poses focusing our our breathwork calms the nervous system and gives us insights to our selves, our needs and facilitates healing at a much deeper level that our busy lives don't allow us to do.
