Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend whose life exemplified kindness, compassion, grace, and faith. With sadness we share the news of the passing of Beallsville resident, Randy "Hoss" Hudson, age 61, on Friday, August 8 in Wheeling Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Hoss was a son of Patty Crum VanDyne and the late Charles Lynn Hudson. He was a devoted husband, son, father, brother, Papaw, and friend. He will be remembered by everyone who knew him as a hard-working and fun-loving fella who was never serious and who always found something to joke about. Steve was a member of the Church of Christ and a retired employee of the former Ohio Valley Coal #6 Mine near Beallsville. Please remember his loved ones in the days and weeks to come . . . his devoted wife of 49 years, Cindy Eleric Benson; his children Amanda (Scott) Magnano, Christopher Benson, Daniel Benson, Alicia Benson, and Shawn (Jordan) Benson; his brother Ed (Shauna) Benson; his seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, also his extended family and friends. We join with family and friends as together we celebrate the life while mourning the loss of former New Castle Community - Beallsville resident, Betty Davis Lucas. Betty passed away at her residence in Lewis Center, Ohio Tuesday, June 10th. She was a devoted wife, loving mother of seven, doting grandmother of 24, proud great-grandmother of 39, and a caring great great-grandmother of five, a dedicated sister, a patient aunt, and a loyal friend. For years she worked side-by-side with her husband, Bob on the family farm, while they raised their children, and she drove school bus, and also served her community in various capacities including finance clerk of Wayne County. Calling hours will be held Monday, June 16 between the hours of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home – Harper Chapel, with funeral services immediately afterward.
