👋 I’m Stephanie Nelson, a local business owner, author of "Cleaning Up My Dreams: A Journey of Entrepreneurship and Self-Discovery," and the founder of Five and a Half North Farm in Bear Lake. While I now focus on passion projects like my farm and launching Wise Words Book Club, cleaning has always been something I love (yes, really!). That is one reason I wrote a book about my first business I built and sold.

We are so thankful to be part of such an amazing community. We realize trusting a business that is new to the area can be a bit scary. We wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves and let you know that although we are new to the area, commercial cleaning has been our business since 2003.
A little bit about us: Stephanie and Jamie Nelson
We are a family-owned and operated business that started as a home cleaning service in Illinois. We still own and operate our sister business called Top To Bottom Commercial Cleaning in Illinois. Together, with our awesome team of employees and family members, we are able to continue providing services to our home area.
So why are we here? Simply put, six years ago we were dropping our boys off at camp and met amazing people. I love how life seems to move slower and that there are so many things to enjoy that seem to not exist in many places. The roadside fruit stands, the family farms, the great outdoors, the quaint shops, and family-built businesses. Oh yeah, I love the snow!
My husband and I both were raised in small farming communities in central Illinois. We love to build things together, as in businesses, redoing homes (which we are currently doing on our bear lake farm) adventures, and we love to work in the cleaning industry.
We understand the value of trusting in a small business, especially one that is new to the area. We have a list of clients that are happy to give references and we do currently serve local businesses.
We have experience in commercial, office cleaning, home cleaning, and turn services. We have served banks, pipelines, car dealerships, colleges, and many different kinds of office and government buildings.
