Funeral services will be held at 11:15 AM Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at First Lutheran Church in Beardstown with Reverend Katherine Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Beardstown City Cemetery with Auxiliary Services conducted by Guthrie-Pierce VFW Auxiliary Post #1239 of Beardstown. The family will meet with friends from 10-11 AM Wednesday at the church, with Emblem services conducted after the visitation at 11 AM at the church.

Memorials have been suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital or First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Condolences may be left online at www.colwellmemorialhome.com or on facebook at Colwell Memorial Home.

🍓 At one of our funeral services, we offered a strawberry themed keepsake to guests. It was a sweet and thoughtful way to honor a beautiful life and help their memory live on.

Today, the Beardstown First United Methodist Church is hosting a fantastic day of free fun at the Round House located at 905 Bay Street. They are wonderful neighbors to the memorial home, so I'm expecting a great day! Come join them, have fun, and see what it's all about!

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday, August 11, 2025 at First Christian Church in Beardstown. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday. Burial will be held at a later date in the Beardstown City Cemetery. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.

When Leta came in to finalize her pre-need arrangements, we wanted to brighten her day. She was surprised with a beautiful vase from Rosebud & Co. Flowers and Plant Shop, filled with seasonal blooms grown by local farmers. It was a small gesture to bring a smile to her face while also supporting our local community.

Planning ahead brings peace of mind, and moments like this remind us why we do what we do.
