🌼 Daisy Awards 🌼 are a huge honor as a nurse and we are among one today! Linda was surprised to see her family bless the occasion and staff and residents also joined the celebration. It means so much when a family member voices their happiness and this time we got cinnamon rolls per tradition. Congratulations Linda on your distinguished honor!🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼

One thing we know is that huskers have the best fans, another thing we know is that doesn’t change with age! We were out supporting the huskers all weekend long, from volleyball to football and back to volleyball on Sunday! go big red! 🏈🏟️🏐😎🍿🎈❤️ ☝️

Good Samarian Society - Hastings Village hosted Samfest on Thursday, September 11 with a tribute theme of "Good Samaritan Village Salutes America," honoring 9/11.

One of the events during Samfest was a car show, which featured 28 cars, 2 motorcycles and 1 tractor. Attendees even cast their votes for their favorite. Congrats to residents Neil and Shirley for winning Most Unique and Best Decorated Golf Cart! 🚗

Our happy place is definitely at Whispering Acres Tales and Treasures!!! When the residents start taking out their phones to take pictures, we know they are loving it!

We are so grateful for our friends at this farm for doing what they do for this community.

It is truly amazing to see first hand the affect animals can have on people.

We encourage our friends and family to check out the amazing things Jill and her team are doing. The money she charges for admission goes back into improving the grounds and making it more handicap friendly, the new sidewalks and rubber mats made a world of difference for getting around to see every single animal this year! 🐷🐐🐰🐴🐓🐖🐔🦃🐑🐮🐇🦙🐄🐂🐏🫏🦎🐸❤️🫶🏻

Pauline Daninger, a senior living resident at Good Samaritan Society – Heritage Grove in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, has a talent for creating beautiful arts and crafts and delicious baked goods.

“My mom’s been crafty my whole life,” says Pauline’s daughter, Marie Watts.

Pauline continues to pursue her hobbies, including oil painting, and likes to take part in the annual craft fair at Heritage Grove.

As summer draws to a close there a few pics we had to share of many special things that happened at Good Sam. Thank you staff for always thinking of residents!! We have had pet therapy, memorial of a special coworker, a volunteer that started when they were 3 years old and are now a senior 👑, visitor from Senator Dorn and Nebraska Healthcare and a Sanford Brand Ambassador trip to the Sanford International PGA tour in Sioux Falls, SD. What a year!

WOW! Huge thank you to Steve and Carolyn for inviting us out to your pond to go fishing❤️. It is very hard to find a wheelchair friendly place to go fishing that actually has fish🎣. They even pushed around dirt to help the wheelchairs get right up to the water🥰. Megan and Cindy also appreciated Steve’s willingness to help bait the hooks and get the fish off the hooks😂🤭

What a great weekend at Good Samaritan! Activities staff made sure the residents were not bored!!! They went to Beatrice Movies and had lunch at Michael J’s. Thanks to the family members for going along and helping out when you can!

We love partnering with Gage County Extension Office, so our residents are able to see how well the 4-Hers did at the state fair. This is Good Samaritan’s third year showcasing their work and our residents are always so impressed with the children’s talent. 🍀 🖼️
