I have been on dialysis now for 6 years and I am committed to sharing with you information about my kidney and also that educates you about kidney disease in case your loved one has it. Dr. Jonas Gadson, DTM, Minister is seeking a living kidney donor and needs a new kidney! To help you to decide if you want to donate one of your kidneys to him, there is a video that he encourages you to watch that takes you through the process of being considered. He has offered this video as an informational tool for those who are considering donating a kidney to him, or considering becoming an Advocate to help him to get a new kidney.
The American Society of Transplant Surgeons has made this video available to the public for those with family, loved ones and friends who are seeking a kidney transplant.

What happened to Minister Jonas Gadson at 4 years old...Now he needs a New Kidney!
When he was 4 years old, Minister Gadson had a medical issue that threatened his life! His stomach was protruding out as if he was nine months pregnant! He was rushed to a hospital in Charleston, SC. where the doctors told his mother that he would die. Eight other babies had the same operation that he had and all eight of the other babies died! And the doctors said that he would be number nine! The doctors gave a diagnosis that he would die, but God gave the final prognosis, that he would live! After the doctors operated on him and took the tumor out of his stomach, he had a massive infection from the operation, and he had to have another operation! The doctors went in on his right side to clean up the infection that came from the operation and discovered that the infection had spread to his kidney on the right side and they took out that infected kidney. They did not tell his mother, nor did they tell him.
Bonus From Jonas, “Don’t let anyone bury you until after you are dead! You are bigger than that! You are better than that and the Best is still in you! Allow that Best to bud, to bloom and to blossom into a bright and beautiful future!” He brags on God saying, “My whole life is a Bonus!”
Fifty years later, I was told that I had only one kidney! And that kidney was functioning at only 5-11%! So, I have been on dialysis for almost 5 years, and I go 3 times a week. And I am on the list for a kidney transplant; to get a new kidney from a living donor.

You can make a financial contribution to help defray the medical expenses associated with dialysis and the kidney transplant.
He Needs Some Advocates to help get the word out and help him find a living donor and tell others about his need for a new kidney.
