We anticipate being closed Thursday morning and being open Thursday afternoon, given the potential for road flooding at high tide. Check our voicemail or Facebook for the most up-to-date information on our closings and business hours. Everybody stay safe out there!

Hi everyone, I spent some time collecting high tide times for the next few days. This has been one of the most common questions I've received recently. I found a few towns along the coast, obtained the high tide times, and created this handy chart. If your town is not listed, don't worry, find the closest beach town and it'll be about the same. As Hurricane Erin passes by the most concerning time for seeing Storm Surge/Coastal Flooding is going to be a few hours around high tide. This evening, we will see some higher-than-normal tides and potentially some flooding, especially along the Outer Banks South of Oregon Inlet. The evening tides are running higher right now anyway, so I think the most problems will be in the afternoon and evening.

I just picked a few places; each of these places does not have an equal chance of flooding (some are much higher risk check my previous posts for more on that), but I thought it would be helpful. I hope this helps some folks out, good times to move cars/golf carts, etc to higher ground before high tide, especially in vulnerable areas
