Beaufort Veterinary Hospital is currently accepting applications to fill the position of Veterinary Assistant. BVH is a full-service small animal veterinary medical provider with primary hours of operation weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Applicant pay and responsibilities will be commensurate with experience. Some weekend responsibilities will be required.

A successful applicant:
1) Must have excellent interpersonal skills and experience dealing with the public;
2) Must provide a minimum of three references that can vouch for reliability, responsibility, and the ability to act as a team player;
3) Must be able to perform a job that includes as a primary duty the ability to lift and restrain animals safely (as instructed by a veterinarian);
4) Must not have had any history of alcohol or substance abuse within the past 3 years.

BVH is different from other, more traditional, veterinary establishments both in its hours of operation and its work environment. A successful applicant needn’t have a lot of veterinary experience, but must be willing to learn and willing to earn their place on our team.

We are closing due to inclement weather & the need to allow our staff to be safe. We will reopen as soon as it is safe for our staff to get here. For emergencies overnight please contact either Swansboro Animal Hospital Emergency & Trauma Center at 910-325-8227 or the Emergency Pet Hospital in Havelock at 252-444-1399. For emergencies after 8 am Wednesday call our emergency line at 252-732-2404. If we have to remain closed during a time that you have an appointment we will reach out to reschedule that as soon as we reopen. Thank you for your patience & understanding. Be safe!
