While I rarely post personal events to my business page I wanted to share that even Therapists need a time to get away and be refreshed ! This is for the refreshment of my spirit and soul. I was educated in a time when Therapists were NOT encouraged to share personal experiences or information especially religious beliefs or spiritual guidance. I have found after 24 years in mental health work that if don’t honor myself i don’t honor God in my work. While I will never impose my beliefs in a session, I will encourage you to share any spiritual path you may have in order to help meet you where you are at in life. I’ve counseled atheists, agnostics, Muslims, non believers and firm believers in every religion and my job is to meet YOU where you are and help you find your own path. Do what refreshes your soul and know you will never be judged by me in my office. You are welcome, safe, and I hope to help you on your own healed path and thank you for allowing me to go along on your journey.

Good afternoon! Just an update I will not be taking any new clients until January 2026. My caseload is full presently and I will be out of the office in the month of December. 😀

For those with college kids it’s almost time for Mid Terms! Time to check in with their health, mental health, and their progress. It’s a HUGE transition from high school to college and self care PLUS everything else can be difficult to manage. Encourage them to take advantage of resources on campus that you already pay for like tutoring, health clinic, counseling, student success classes or workshops, and continue to build their collge community.
