It might be cold and snowy now, but our US spring forecast brings promise of warmth! 🌤️ Our 2026 Spring Weather Forecast has been released!

Our spring outlook predicts that much of the country will experience DRIER-than-normal conditions, and WARMER-than-normal temperatures across much of the US, with a few exceptions.

(Remember: Temperature and precipitation levels are compared to historical averages to determine expected departures from normal.)

Our forecasts are based on three scientific disciplines: Solar science, climatology, and meteorology. Analyzed together, we can make long-range predictions that are especially useful for farmers, gardeners, landscapers, homeowners, travelers, event organizers, and other folks who just like to be outside 😊

Visit Almanac.com/Spring-Forecast for regional details!🌷What are YOU most looking forward to this spring?

Some things actually get better with age. 💛

Caring less about what others think.
Finding your people more easily.
Friendships that feel deeper and sweeter.
A greater appreciation for nature, music, and meaning.

In this episode of Caregiver Chats, Dr. Lakelyn and gerontologist Dr. Kerry Burnight remind us that when we focus on what grows with age—not just what changes—we can experience aging in a whole new way.

CARE PRO SPOTLIGHT: Get to Know Deb! ⭐️

☀️ Morning person or night owl?
Definitely a morning person! I’m usually up around 5 a.m., but I take my time getting going. My sweet husband keeps the coffee coming he pours it, then reheats it for me every half hour ☕ Lately, I like everything extra hot… especially my food!

🤎 What has caregiving taught me?
While it may not be surprising, I truly think of all my clients as family. I work closely with several clients living with dementia, and I always care for them the way I would hope to be cared for. I feel very protective of each one, they mean so much to me.

🥣 Food I could eat every week?
Oatmeal! Every morning I add raisins, chopped walnuts, and milk. If I don’t have it, my whole day feels off!

🏡 Why I love working at Home Instead
I’ve been with Home Instead for over 10 years, and it’s such a pleasure working with everyone here. It truly feels like being part of a caring family.

Ever feel left out of caregiving conversations in your family? That silence can create more tension than the truth.

In this Caregiver Chats clip, caregiving expert Pamela D. Wilson explains why transparency matters—especially in blended families. When conversations happen behind closed doors or legal documents aren’t shared, suspicion and division grow. Bringing everyone to the table can reduce conflict and build trust before problems start.
